“Female – Best Performer of the Day” and “Male – Best Performer of the Day” running trophies were presented to Mrs Kamala Khapung Limbu and Mr Deepchan Khaling Rai respectively.
The trophies (cups) were sponsored by Mrs Bimala Limbu, founding president of the club, and Mr Sheru Limbu, Advisor. The winners of the title would keep the trophies until next tournament unless they win the title three consecutive years.
The Tournament was held in John Wallis Sport Hall in Ashford Kent on Saturday, 7th of September 2019 consisting of the following categories:

2. Women’s Double
3. Open Mixed Double
4. Veteran’s Double
5. Veteran’s Mixed Double
6. Super Veteran Double
On behalf of the SEE Ashford, Mr Tej Limbu who is President of the UKNBA, presented certificates of appreciation to all sponsors prior to awarding the winners and runners up trophies.
All runners up trophies were presented by the sponsors of the trophies followed by the winner trophies being presented by the Chief Guest, Mr Chakrabahadur Rai Chairperson of the Sagarmatha Gurkha/Nepalese Community Ashford, Kent (SGNCAK).
The Chairperson of the Nepalese Community, Mr Chakrabahadur Rai, thanked all participants by praising them all for their contribution towards the society. He gave a metaphorical example that where there would be more temples there would be fewer jails. He added, “The more people involve in sports activities, the fewer people go to hospital.”
Finally, the President SEE Ashford, Mrs Bimala, invited to join the evening dinner at the Gurkha Bhansa Ghar and wished safe drive back home if they were going back home if they were driving back home straight and she concluded the programme by expressing her gratitude to all for their unconditional help, support, guidance, and love they had for the SEE Ashford.
